WITH A LOOK TO THE FUTURE

"We strive to build a business model that brings long-term benefits."

The world around us is constantly accelerating, changing. Every company, including ours, is part of this dynamic process. The future will be a picture  what we will do today.  Just as the construction begins with the laying of the foundation stone and the painting with the stroke of the brush, so the protection of the planet is laid out  from a number of small, seemingly insignificant activities. Saving energy, saving water, sorting waste, double-sided printing of documents, ... .

We can always do something.  The sale of outlet goods at significantly reduced prices and their subsequent donation to the socially disadvantaged, textile material handed over to schools, are often accompanied by feelings of gratitude. When choosing business partners, we are sensitive to the fact that they are in the data  companies followed the principles of socially responsible relations in the entire supply chain.

We have a choice. He is aware of this commitmentthe functioning of ethical principles is important to us in relation to the environment, society and management, whichthey take into account the needs and ways of creating value for all involved parties  - employee, customer, supplier, financier. Our business  we focus oncreating permanent  values.

We are pleased,  that through our voluntary involvement in socially responsible business, we offer together with  product or service and this oneadded value.

OUR STORY

HARD 90'S OR A CHALLENGE?

"The story of simple people about traditions and honest tailoring. "

Our story began to be written immediately after the gentle revolution. Back thenmany were looking for their place in society.A young couple from Orava, seamstress Janka and her husband Jozef, responded to lack of clothes on the market, so in 1990 they decided to sew together at home.

Precision, attention to detail, the quality of the products, and the appropriately chosen material quickly appealed to people. It didn't take long andthe first orders began to arrive.

The owners' personal commitment and teamwork, combined with a passion for tailoring, led to a gradualtransformation of a small local business into a professional company. The company's market and men's brand JAMEL FASHION first spread throughoutSlovakia and the Czech Republic. Gradually we are our customers  also obtained inCroatia,  Sweden or Russia.

Although the path was not easy, in 2007 the company managed  go with the whole work team toown premises in Námestov.

IDENTITY DECISION CRISIS

"External factors of the fashion industry are moving the apparel industry towards a different identity than the one that accompanied the success of the last 30 years of the 20th century."

One of the characteristic features of the years 2008 and 2009 was also distinctivechanging consumer behavior and purchasing habits.  To maintain the "life"  of companies, the usual best practices were no longer enough.

What describes us is the effort to perceiveadverse circumstances as a challenge, an opportunity and perhaps a new beginning. Financial crisis she forced us to act. We found new impulses in technologies, "polished" quality, worked on procedures that increase work productivity, expanded our product range and looked for new, stronger partners. One of the specific  of the results of these activities is already todaylong-term cooperation and production for well-known fashion brands such as Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Chloé, Kenzo, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Balmain, ... .

Here, in this period, are also the beginnings of our product line focused on the production of walking and work uniforms.

The uniforms produced in our workshops were intended for employees of railways, transport  businesses, firefighters, waiters, chimney sweeps, hunters...

IT WAS ONLY PARTLY ABOUT BUSINESS

"Our beginning is connected with a period that radically changed our  viewing  to the world and life. It's a story about people, hope and solidarity, a story about creativity or community strengthening."

At the end of the yearIn 2020, the Chinese city of Wuhan attracted our attention, but the virus labeled covid-19 was clearly not a disease affecting only the Asian continent. We have learned a hard lesson from globalization, the situation very quickly reminded us that the global world also has numerous disadvantages. The pandemic has shown how "global" the world has become in recent decades.

The situation surprised us unprepared, the lack of protective and medical equipment, which were missing not only for the general public, but also  for health workers meant that the happeningin many countries it was becoming literally dramatic.  "Now it sounds incredible, but, as we all remember, it was almost impossible to buy a protective mask or respirator at that time." - recalls Majka, a solid rock of our team.

Exceptional  circumstances forced  people to act.Our view of the value of human life has changed, freedom, security, autonomy in decision-making, human rights. The pandemic highlighted things, gave them contrast.True values came to the fore. But what did this period, which significantly demarcates a certain era on the timeline of history, underscoreis the necessity of adaptation.

In this atmosphere, with the aim of changing the situation and adding a hand to the work, on 16.03.2020 our company sewedfirst, then so scarce and in demand, cotton cloths.

Our first customers were ordinary people from the neighborhood who further distributed the masks among "their own". Later on  the surrounding villages and pharmacies became our partners. The efficiency and speed with which aid was provided formed the basis for a completenew partnership models.

In the process, we improved the products - we added a wire to the mask, in the part of the nose for better adhesion to the face, changed the cut so that it better copied the silhouette of the face, and at the same time we responded to other insufficient goodsin clinics and hospitals. This makes our  the production program grew bymedical clothing, bed linen, covers, respirators, gloves,...
